Due to a change in circumstances, we are unable to give our chinchilla the time and attention that he deserves. We have had him since he was 12 weeks old. He has parents that are 'shown' so he is especially beautiful. He is a rare colour and has the softest fur. He LOVES to be stroked under the chin, (just like in YouTube videos) - I've had a few chinchillas throughout my life and none of them have enjoyed that - he's very unique! I have a 2-year-old daughter who loves feeding him and he's never ever done anything to her. He's not a fan of being picked up (he will bark and leap away), but in his own space, he loves a stroke and is super friendly. He also loves having a run out of the cage, will come and sit on you and watch the tv, and loves his sand-bath. The cage will be provided (which cost us £120 a couple of years ago) and all of the accessories (just the chinchilla houses alone are £12). Although he is 4, chinchillas can live beyond 20 (My eldest one died age 16).The cage is great because it is not as wide as the standard one from the shops, so takes up less space, But is nice and tall for him.
