25' Sailing Yacht/ Boat & Trailer new parts Never sailed

Fallmouth Gypsy Mark two,Bought around by an engineer in Kit form using pre made GRP Hull who almost finished it before passing away. His Family were not interested in it at all and it stayed on its trailer ever since approx 35 years. During that time it was not even visited. Then about four years ago it was brought up from Cornwall to Leister where the Family had moved to. For this move it was fitted with brand new 600 x 16 Landrover Series one Tyres these are still like new and worth £150 each tyre as these are not remoulds and are very collect able. It also had new wheel bearings fitted although it has never been immersed it was felt to that journey everything needed to be spot on. You can see by the cover it was not in the best of shapes and had let rainwater in for many years getting inside the boat through the unsealed Windows. This rotted the marine plywood around the Windows. I have now replaced both sides and replaced them using a full sheet of marine plywood I have installed old bronze opening port holes which look great. I am now doing the final repairs around the rear seat surrounds as the frames needed replacing. Once this is done then the shroud plates need fitting and it's ready to sail. Everything is supplied brand new unused shroud plates, standing and running rigging. About half the shrouds have been made using self assembly stainless steel couplings for the stainless steel wire ends. The rest of the wire and couplings are supplied with extras. The shroud plates need some holes drilling and then they can be bolted to the hull sides. There is a Tabernackle fitted for the mast. The mast and boom although new and unused were mounted on the boat under the covers which blew off the ends so they have faded slightly. A tin of gold paint would reinstate them or maybe slight abrasive polish. The sails are still folded how the manufacturer would have folded them in their sail bags. No damage or smells as hey have laws been kept indoors along with the brand new cushions for the seats and Four single berths. Loads of storage space in cupboards and under beds. The woodwork is mainly teak and mahogany and it's been made to the highest quality by a dedicated man for his own personal use. The HULL is GRP with teak rubbing strakes a three bladed bronze propeller remote greaser for the front propshaft bearing / water seal. The Engine is BUHK 10 HP Diesel inboard engine and gearbox with single lever control. It starts and runs exactly how it should with no smoke. Although the Diesel could do with changing after being in the boat all that time. These engines are renown world wide as being the best engine in the world at that time. Although it's a single cylinder it has balance weights and self adjustable timing so it always runs smooth no matter what revs it's doing. Made in Denmark. There is a large stainless steel diesel tank fitted so it should only use less than a litre an hour it will have a large range just under power. The tank is filled from outside the boat so no diesel will end up inside the boat if you overflow it when filling. The same goes for the water tank that is situated in the bow section just in front of the large chain / warp locker. It is pumped to the Kitchen sink via a foot pump and the drain goes through the hull side. It does have a small gas stove but it's a bit rusty. There is a gas bottle inside a rear locker and a length of new copper pipe with a flexible hose to connect it to a stove. Or just use one with a throw away canister as they are so cheap. It has a really nicely made solid teak table which needs sanding as it also has water marks. The inside was painted white but I have removed quite a lot as I wanted to see the Mahogany timber so I was going to varnish it. Four full size bunk beds with plenty of width.storage under each. The sea toilet is plumbed in and working with a nice timber cover over it when not in use. The escape hatch is above. It has a pul pit and push pit along with staunchions and guard wires. I have replaced most of the marine plywood at the stern but an odd bit needs doing along with two cupboard frames. There is an access panel at the rear of the engine and the whole of the front panel removes so access is superb. I have changed the engine oil and oil filter. I have also changed the starter motor and alternator as they both suffered from water damage they still work so are included be ideal for spare but they won't be needed. The alternator is the later type with built in regulator ect instead of all the separate wiring. The hatch is very large incorporating two sliding hatches the top of each hatch needs slight repairs either with a filler and paint or replace the plywood and do a proper job as it deserves it. There is teak decking to the cockpit and seats and solid teak floor in the cabin ect Solid mahogany tiller and rudder. It's at Sleaford Lincs and can be seen anytime and ai suggest you do so as you will not be dissapointed with the standard of work done and what it will turn into with about three weekends more work. It's a bespoke boat trailer made by a proper trailer manufacturer and is rated at kgs. Good working brakes. The hull has a long keel with side bilge plates so it will sit level on,sand ect and will not tip up if you walk forward or to the stern.mhqbing three keels means the draft is about 30" and spreads the load and makes it far more stable on unequal ground. It could be used now as a motor Crusier as everything is working ok. But it would be a shame if not made into its proper role of sailing boat. The only reason I am selling is I am disabled and can no longer climb up the large ladder carrying things ect. kgs twin axle road trailer that can carry a 25 ' long boat or smaller.
