The definition of a coach is to take is - 'to take something / someone from one place to the next' meaning to take a person or team from their current level, train and educate them to reach the next level. I am here to build confidence, self esteem and good character. Getting physically fit and strong is a by product. Weightlifting and powerlifting are so much more than going to the gym, its learning to pass through plateaus, strengthen your spirit and open your mind to new possibilities. I started my fitness education in where I studied fitness instructing at Belfast MET and through this my journey began working in LA Fitness where I started learning as an instructor. I continued my education at the MET and other education providers, studying personal training, scientific core conditioning, suspension training and kettlebells. After a few years of personal training I decided to go back and study an HND in performance and coaching and also became a level 1 IRFU rugby coach. Fast forward to I opened my own gym 'The Train Station' here a grew a community of like minded people and a successful gym. In I became a level 2 IRFU rugby coach and became the head coach of Lisburn ladies. I sold the business and decided I would try a different path and took on the role of gym manager at DW Fitness however managing a gym for a company can take a lot of your time and so i'm following my passion educating individuals and teams to their next level.
