Stunning cast iron fireplace. Bought off here a few months ago. So gutted I can't use it due to damp proofing my walls. Been dismantled so needs new bolts to attach the back panel. Started repaintimg the fire surround (white and black) others need blackening too such as the drawer / grate and back panel. Absolutely stunning. The marble surround features a traditional design from the period, with attractive decorative corbels supporting a bevelled mantelpiece shelf. Selling THREE of these beautiful Victorian fireplaces which I saved from a builder chucking into skip near our home. They sadly were not removed with great care and are all imperfect in some way. See each listing for details! This particular one is the worst of the bunch and has the front grill missing and a sizeable chunk missing from where it would have been connected on one side. See photos. Would need some clever restoring or perhaps you could just live with it as "character".. Annoying there are no shelves for any of the fireplaces - the builder was convinced they did not have shelves - but I'm pretty sure they were sadly deeply buried into the skip. So replacement shelves would be required. The fireplaces have been painted & have flaking paint in places - so do need a bit of restoration.
