This compact and highly portable combo features two channels, each of which has its own independent volume and tone controls. A variety of inputs give the AS50R the ability to handle all comers: the high impedance input on Channel 1 is perfect for piezo or magnetic pickups, while Channel 2 boasts RCA phono inputs, plus a balanced XLR type input in addition to its jack input, making it the perfect host for voice, instrument, or even backing track applications. Selling my trusty Mesa Boogie Rectoverb Combo, This 50 watt 1 x 12 combo really does pack a huge punch. It's an oversized 1 x 12 design, so sounds more like a 2 x 12 with the low end response. I've always used Mesa Boogies due to their glassy crisp cleans and their renowned heavy Hi Gain sounds. When the gain in cranked, it just sounds huge. There's a few tonal options with both channels, so you can run the clean pushed for more gain and Ch.2 has the same 3 gain settings as the Road Kings/Dual Recs, from mid gain through to Modern Metal Hi Gain. The amp is in great condition, has been gigged but looked after and I bought the cover when I bought the amp, so that has a few marks on but the amp itself is in top condition. Complete and unmodified; it is a great example of classic British valve amplifier history, with all its original parts: including tremolo foot switch and chrome stand with casters. Good Working Order and no electrical faults that I am aware of. This amplifier is also cosmetically in good condition for its age; a few cabinet scuffs and stains on the grill cloth, and a little bit of rust on the chrome stands.
