A creation of Jim Burns, this reissue retains the funky looks, Tri-sonic pickups, and the cool sound shaping system. It also features a mahogany body, bolt on maple neck with bound rosewood fingerboard, Burns deluxe tremolo unit, Wild Dog/Split Sound setting switch, the Batwing headstock, gold hardware and Burns deluxe machine heads. This guitar is in very good condition aside from a neck repair it's had near the nut. It's now stable and was a pro repair. Burns Marquee Electric Guitar in good condition. Bought in from Wunjo Guitars in London. This one is unusual in that it has a rosewood fingerboard. Otherwise it is as described on the Burns website. There are a few small dings in the finish - this guitar has been gigged, see the photo of Nate Pilgrim and the Magnificatz from the Burns Guitar players page - but is otherwise in excellent condition. Burns Jazz Split Sound electric guitar

This is a beautiful old Burns Jazz Split Sound which I have owned for 53 years. I bought it in from Bill Greehalgh’s music shop in Exeter when I was at St Luke’s College and have owned it ever since. It was made in either or and apart from one pot (see picture) it is entirely original. It has not been resprayed or refretted. Even the original truss rod adjustment key survives! I was never a fully pro musician but like many, did some amateur work along the way. The result is, fortunately for the guitar, quite light use (the majority at home) and some good care from me. The guitar bears the marks of a very long life but nothing serious as you can observe from the images. A few years ago, I made a new scratchplate so that the guitar could be used as a synthesiser if required. I did it such a way that the original guitar body was not modified or altered any way and, as may be seen from the pictures, it has now been returned to its original configuration. The Roland synthesiser comes as part of the package. It’s about ¾ hour’s work to change the scratchplates over and an extremely simple procedure because I made it that way. This makes the guitar exceptionally versatile and expands hugely its applications for music making whether at home or gigging. It also makes the guitar unique. The guitar and the synthesiser come with a generic hard cases. I have 31 images in total so if you need/want/would like to see more, please just ask. I will answer any sensible questions within 24 hours or sooner. The guitar is sold collection only and the buyer will pay cash on collection. I am happy to provide a full receipt. I will not accept payment via paypal. This is a huge advantage to the buyer because it means they get to have a good look at the guitar before parting with any hard earned cash. Read more

Vox Consort Vintage Electric Guitar - Hank Marvin Signature - Red

Vox Consort electric guitar in red with Hank Marvin signature. Description from the Vox Showroom website: "The later version of the Consort looked a bit more like a Fender Stratocaster. It was offered from through . It was available in a red or sunburst polyester finish. The second version of the Consort featured three Vox VII single coil pickups with a three position pickup selector switch, a volume control and two tone controls. The upgraded Vox "Hank B Marvin" signature roller bearing tremolo system was included on the Consort. Hank Marvin was the lead guitarist with the popular UK instrumental band "The Shadows." The sycamore neck used on the later Consort was topped with a rose wood fret board and had an adjustable truss rod. The Consort retailed for about 79 GBP (or about $220 USD) in . Adjusted for imflation, the Consort would sell today for about $." ------ It is quite an old instrument and was offered by Vox from . For that reason, it is not in the best condition but all 3 pick ups are still in good working order. Here is a list of the defects that I've spotted: - Slight rust on headstock pegs - Quite a few scratches and marks on back of neck - A couple of small cracks at base of neck - Some bits of rust on the pick ups - Rust underneath the bridge on the whammy bar - 5 fairly large cracks to the base of the body on the front As it is such a rare guitar I have put an asking price of £250. Burns Brian May Guitar I have owned this guitar from new and it has only had light use due to working away and it's never been gigged. The guitar is in very good condition with light scratches on the front scratch plate. The guitar has always been stowed and kept in a guitar bag. Comes with tremolo, spare spring and tool kit.
