For collection near M5 Junction 27 in east Devon. I have one Buff Sussex rooster running with 6 hens (Buff Sussex x Voerwerk). These benefit from hybrid vigour and smarter plumage and have been superb egg layers all winter. The eggs you hatch will be 3/4 Buff Sussex so the offspring will have all the benefits of Buff Sussex with supercharged vigour reflecting their hybridised origins. They will be strong chicks which have a will to live and can walk because they are not too inbred. I check fertility on a regular basis. Two unrelated parent stock of good type and temperament. I have for sale Vorwerk hatching eggs from my group of unrelated stock. All my birds are fed top quality Versele Laga feed and are wormed twice a year. The Price is £1.50 per egg, with a minimum of 6 to be purchased. I have a number of other breeds available as listed below and I am very happy to make up mixed boxes. Priced at £1.25 per egg I have the following: - White Silkies - Mixed colour Silkies (Partridge cockerel running with Partridge, White and Lavender hens) - Black mottled Pekins - Mixed colour Pekins (Partridge cockerel running with Chocolate Mottled, Partridge and Black hens) - Buff Plymouth Rock Bantams I also have the following large fowl breeds available at £1.50 per egg: - Barnevelders - Cream crested Legbars - Lavender Araucana - Easter Egger (Araucana cross Marans) will lay a lovely olive green egg Fertility was tested on 16th March, with an average of 90% being fertile. The lowest fertility recorded was 80%. All eggs will be a maximum of 3 days old when posted and are sent in special polystyrene boxes. It is very important to allow the eggs to stand, pointed end down, for between hours after they arrive to allow the air sac to settle. I am afraid that I cannot provide any guarantees of fertility due to postage handling and the huge range of different quality incubators available. There are two options with regards postage, either standard first class signed for delivery which is £5.50 or special next day delivery at £7.50. Personally I would opt for next day as this means the eggs are not put through the 'standard' Royal Mail system and are handled separately to the normal post.
