An ideal starter herd of British Primitive Goats selected from our Rare Breed Goat Herd. The herd consists of one Billy (age 3), ten Nannies (ages 2-5), and 4 kids (). British Primitive Goats The British Primitive Goat encompasses what has previously been known as known as the Old English/Scottish/Welsh/Irish, British Landrace or Old British Goat. The breed descends from the goats introduced by the first farmers in the Neolithic period. It was this little, hairy all-weather goat that was moved aroundthe periphery of Europe by the Celts, Vikings and Saxons. it sustained the people of the bronze and iron ages alongside a few cattle and sheep. Kept as a multi-purpose animal by subsistence farmers, and having to find most of its living in a harsh climate, these early imports soon developed into a hardy all-weather breed that reared its kids, gave some milk, and then went on to be invaluable for its meat, skins, hair and tallow. It commended itself as being hardy and self sufficient on marginal land, almost predator proof, uncomplaining when neglected, versatile and able to convert nutritionally poor herbage into a meagre return for its owners. Our British Primitive Goats are now one of our rarer breeds. Here we use the as part of our Conservation Grazing, and for scrub clearance. RAW goats milk from happy healthy free range goats!

RAW goats milk for sale. Our milk is from high-butterfat milking strains, being either crossed with pygmy, guernsey or boer to create some pretty amazing creamy high energy milk great for rearing orphaned animals. Much much healthier than higher volume low butterfat goats. As you can see our goats are free range and able to live from forage to produce very healthy milk unlike anything you will find elsewhere. We only suppliment with a mix of alfafa, milled linseed, few rolled oats and sugarbeet in order to maintain condition of our milkers... The ingredients we use are far better than 'goat mix' and has much much less grain, being only a few non-gm oats. This mix helps prevent an acidic stomach. Milk will be available as and when we have too much for our own needs. I can make a list for those needing some, first come first serve and it can be frozen if needs be for use in a future scenario. There are many health benefits to goats milk, especially raw and many testimonies can be found to this on a google search. Unfortunately due to legislation we cannot sell our raw milk for human consumption, but we take no liability or responsability how you use the milk after sale.
