The Boston premium range is mostly bedroom furniture, although some of the pieces would not look out of place elsewhere around the house. They are finished in a rich, dark old colonial style. This a tall bookcase in the same dark lacquered finish. It has 4 shelves, and each one can be placed at 1 of 3 vertical postitions, ideal for storing unequal sized books or for making a larger display shelf. There's a wall strap included to keep young children safe in case they decided to make a challenge out of climbing to the top. Manufactured from framed plywood, you can glue and screw this together in about 3/4 of an hour on your own. Just add a starhead screwdriver, a hammer and a cup of tea. The Boston low profile 2 shelf bookcase. If you haven't many books, much room, or neither, this is the one for the job. Yes, it's low, but there's getting on for 9 feet of shelving here, and that's not counting the top, which is the ideal height for a bit more storage. The 2 shelves can go in any one of 3 positions, so you can tailor their heights to suit whatever books, ornaments or trophies you are displaying. Framed plywood is used for the carcass, with pine for the shelving. Assembly time is about 3/4 of an hour for one person. You'll need your own starhead screwdriver and hammer. A good idea if you don't really need a top shelf, or if you want to store stuff that doesn't stack easily. Throw it in the drawer and close it quick. Finished in a rich looking dark lacquer, it looks hand made but at a fraction of the price. Looked after properly this will last, and look good, for many years. A wall strap is supplied with this item to prevent tip overs.
