Boss OC-2 Octave Effects Pedal Guitar / Bass This is in superb condition for the age. Comes with its box and manual and is in perfect working order. Here's some more info on it: Discontinued in and replaced by the OC3 the Boss OC-2 now a sought after classic boss pedal. It can produce a two extra tones in additional to the original tone. The first is one octave below the original tone and the second, two octaves below. The level of each octave's tone can be adjusted independently. The OC-2 has always been popular with both guitar players and bass players. To get a steady and reliable sound from the Octave, it is recommended that you keep your action high and that you have absolutely no fret buzz on your guitar. It is also an advantage to use a compressor in front of the OC-2 to limit the spectrum of frequencies that the OC-2 has to work with. Another great thing you can do with it is to get the sound of an analog synth from it if you crank the Octave 1 knob up while keeping the other two knobs turned down These will only increase in value as the years pass. For sale is my EHX Octavix pedal. It is an octave fuzz pedal, the idea is to replicate some of those sounds on old Hendrix records. In fact I think I read somewhere that it is based on an old EHX pedal he used but just rebranded/reboxed etc... Although it is alot of fun I don't really have much use for it, and thus I'm selling after less than a year (it was an impulse buy). It is in excellent condition, like new, hasn't left the house or been gigged etc, probably only used at home a handful of times. If you are into your fuzz sounds then you will love this. It has two modes, one of which gives you a tighter sound, and the cool thing is you can use it as just a fuzz, just an octave, or both. You can blend how prominent the octave signal is, choose how extreme you want the fuzz to be, and of course your volume. A good way to use it would probably be to set your balance of octave and fuzz (I recommend octave all the way up) and then set the volume so you get a bit of a boost for your solos. The octave is one octave up by the way, not below. Here is the official blurb from EHX: Octavix delivers the definitive late ’s fuzzed out, octave up sound together with modern enhancements that update the classic concept. I am selling my EHX Octave Multiplexer (which is a fantastic pedal IMO) due to the fact that I got another pedal from Digitech with the octave feature built in, meaning I no longer have the need for this pedal. It retails brand new online (without power adapter) for around the £75 mark. Regarding this actual unit, it is in very good shape although the rubber backing has been removed so I could stick Velcro to it, which also has now been removed leaving a clean metal base. It can be powered either by 9v battery or a wall adapter, neither of which will be included as I never bought the original power adapter as I have a multi-pedal power block on my board.
