The boat itself will clean up with a jet wash and the side valve Briggs & Stratton may look like a pile of sheep dung but it works like a dream first time all the time, petrol. Being as it’s shaft driven my advice would be a small outdrove or direct shaft via a transfer box or sell the engine stick an outboard on, there will be a 4inch hole at the rear when I unbolt the bucket, easy fix.. Ideal for a tender or fishing.. Will need two straight boards to sit on to make it the perfect boat, will carry 5 people easy. Don’t miss it, it’s old thick grp so built to take on a war... with a big fish

It came off a 22ft Teal that was fitted with a 2.5 diesel engine. It has been exposed to the elements for about a year. The only markings I can find on it are what I'm assuming is the serial number (too faded to see clearly) and the name 'Alcan'. I've included photos of this. It was taken off the boat last year, with the intention of fitting an outboard, but I've since discovered the joy of boats without engines (much less swearing involved), so it's now for sale. I've got boating friends who told me stern drives were like hen's teeth and said this one was worth about £400. I have no idea, but after a bit of online research I think that £200ono is a very good price. This item is very heavy, and needs to be collected from Drumclog, just outside Strathaven. Please check where that is before contacting me. I'm happy to receive offers, but be reasonable if you want a response. You're more than welcome to come view it. Just let me know when suits and I'll give you my postcode. I'm looking for a ride on mower, and I'd be happy to swap for one that needs a bit of tlc. Apart from that, if you've got something interesting to swap then let me know. Tools, petrol engined things, field bike, canoe - basically anything that you might consider to be a boys toy!
