Bespoke Windy Smithy Woodburning Stove + 2m Twinwall Flue + Windkat Cowl

This is a one-off, bespoke commission from the famous Windy Smithy stove makers in Devon. Unlike most of their stoves, this one is a huge 8kw output beast! We commissioned it for our street food business in August (to create our own charcoal for a pit BBQ!) and used it only a handful of times before we found a high-quality charcoal supplier, which saves us a lot of work! Windy Smithy are one of the best stove makers in Britain - their revolutionary vent system allows for instant control of the air intake, which combined with an airtight door and dual airflow allows logs to be burned with remarkable efficiency. Check out their website if you haven't heard of them! The firebox measures 590 D x 390 W x 490 H, so it is ideal for space-heating a larger space - a log cabin, yurt, static caravan, garage or workshop. Of course it also has a huge stovetop that can be used for cooking or boiling water. The stove has been fully refurbished and resprayed prior to sale. In addition to the stove you get 2m of 6" Nova SM twin wall flue pipe in good condition (boxed) and the amazing Windkat flue cowl, which retails at £220 new. The Windkat is the best cowl on the market for maintaining an updraft in changeable wind conditions - wind from any direction gets funnelled back upwards by the indents on the sides, meaning that a strong updraft is maintained whatever the weather! One-of-a-kind vintage wood burning stove. Solidly made from thick boiler plate, possibly originally destined for a barge. Photographs show it installed in our living room. Equally at home in a workshop, shed, house boat etc. Features a 4” flue outlet and aluminium legs. The adaption shown in the last photograph allowed connection of the stove to a standard 6” flexible flue. Bespoke stainless steel components have been used to achieve a snug assembly. There is a 4” solid to 6” flexible converter and a spare 1m straight length of 4” steel pipe included in the sale.
