Bertie, Male, Terrier x - Shrewsbury
Bertie is a very friendly small terrier boy with a cheeky little character. The vet feels he is around 3 years of age and is in good health apart from a couple of teeth “filed down” … odd. He has been great with other dogs he has met. When we took him in the cattery, there was no response towards the cats. Even when a particularly grumpy one growled quite nastily at him, he just looked at it, somewhat perplexed! We would always maintain though that this is not a 100% accurate test and is only an indicator. We would always err on the side of caution and recommend any introductions are sensible, controlled and supervised, with the cat able to run to safety and the animals being allowed to interact when and if they wished ONLY. We feel Bertie would be better suited to an adult only home or one with older children who will respect his size and not see him as a toy. He really is a dinky little chap, but he is also a terrier so he will need an active home, plenty of good exercise and chance to do what terriers do – shake toys lol!!! He loves to chase a ball, “kill” toys with a good terrier shake, and run around. He has good basic obedience, walks nice and easily on the lead. All round, a very pleasant little boy who would do best in a terrier experienced home only. Bertie already has lots of interest, so if you are interested you need to move quickly and complete the online application form, once you are convinced that you are Rescue Ready.
