This is a wonderful Antique French Gilt Figural 8 Day Movement Mantel Clock with the original key requiring a little tlc. The pendulum swings for a short while then stops so requires a little attention, probably a clean. There is a small repair to the gilt design to one side and a very small part on the opposite side has come away but not easily noticeable. The porcelain dial is enamelled with roman numerals but does show some small signs of age related wear as would be expected. The clock is approximately 30cm tall. The glass has several finely painted flowers scattered around the pure Art Nouveau metal bezel which has the hour digits attached. The metal dial has an embossed map of France and fleur de lys hands. The clock has the finest quality French 8 day movement which has been fully stripped down, cleaned and serviced and keeps excellent time. The clock is 19.5 cm wide x 18 cm high x 6.5 cm deep.
