This is a wonderful antique Swedish chest ("kista" in Swedish) from the 19th century in Allmogestil (Rustic Style). Made out of pine, it has beautifully hand-painted Kurbits style flowers painted on the top & the initials "E.R." painted on the front. From the Västerbotten region in Northern Sweden. It comes with a key & the lock is in working order, but could do with a bit of oil. The chest is in very good antique condition, but there are some chips in the paint.
