In the LoMenzo Hyper Drive, a band of frequencies within the midrange of the bass signal is filtered out and the distortion effect is added only to this band. The filtered frequencies can be "tuned" to the precise range that gives the optimum effect. The degree of distortion available is variable from a subtle break up to huge overdrive, enabling a new range of extreme effects for bass to be created. The distortion effect can then be mixed with the original dry bass signal to maintain a powerful, full-bodied bass tone with distortion overtones. Although sold as a heavy distortion bass pedal, the reviews showed this is a very flexible overdrive as you can select the frequency range for the dirt – and still keep all your bottom-end, unlike most pedals I have tried. A used Tech 21 SansAmp VT Bass pre-amp and overdrive pedal in good condition. Only selling as I now have a Tech 21 VT500 amp. A great pedal which certainly perks up your sound. Sometimes described as an overdrive, sometimes as a DI and sometimes as a pre-amp, but it's all, although it has two 1/4" sockets (input & output), but no XLR output.
