Appaloosa Pony For Sale

Approx 13.2hh 6 year old Appaloosa gelding. I bought Zeus as the children wanted a pony to 'bring on' however they have shown very little motivation in doing so Zeus is offered for sale. At the beginning of the year Zeus was used by a novice child to hack on (previous home) which we have been told he was perfectly safe at doing. We have no direct experience of hacking him as we are on a 60mph road so stick to riding around our farm mainly which he does with no issues. He is very cheap to keep as is naturally a good 'do-er'. He is barefoot and will live in or out. Is currently living out with a rug on. He can be left in the field for weeks and rides the same as he does when in regular work. He is green in the school as you would expect due to his age but he is very willing to learn and enjoys his work. He is going lovely in walk and trot now but more work required on his canter transition. He is going to make a lovely pony for somebody and it's a shame the children haven't shown the interest they said they would. Although I am light enough to work him I do not have the time myself. I have videos of him being ridden. Due to his age and lack of schooling experience I am not selling him as a novice ride (although he has proven to be steady here!) but for a more experienced rider to bring on and get him out and about like I wanted us to do with him. Dee (Decaston) has been apart of our family for five years, he has been out of work over the past year due to me starting a full time job and not having enough time and I am starting university in September. Dee will be 19 in may, he has a lovely temperament and is full of character, however he can be forward going therefore I wouldn't class him as a novice ride. He was previously owned by Jeff Winship medieval jousting, which he was used for jousting tournaments, his pictures can still be seen at the link below. Dee prefers to live out 24/7, he is quite happy with or without company. He is also good with the farrier but can become impatient but will be kept happy with food and is good to box. Over the years I have mainly used dee for hacking with or without company, he has also been to many sponsored rides and taken part in cross country. He loves to jump however I have not done much jumping with him. Finding him a good home is essential, more important than the price.

'Arla' has been owned by me since a yearling. She is 3yrs old on . Her dam is a quality registered Welsh mare with Eppynt and Revel lines. Her sire is a 16hh appaloosa x TB stallion by the famous 'Champagne Charlie' and 'Amazing Blue' Arla has an amazing temperament, loves people and other horses. Not marish. She comes to call in the field, picks feet up regularly, stands tied, had rugs, tack, hi-viz, boots etc. She doesn't like the scary measuring stick quite yet, tho' will happily have small children run around and sit on her! She has had many walks in hand out on country roads / woodlands alone and in company. She has been introduced to coloured poles in the school and walks over them happily. She is good with traffic, the farrier, dentist, children and dogs. She also does a trick and trots on voice command. She does load but likes to think about it first! But this is only because she has only ever been on a horsebox twice with me leading her (a rusty novice owner!) I intended to keep Arla myself but I am relocating and sadly cannot take her with me, hence this utterly heartbreaking sale. She will make a fantastic all rounder / competition pony.
