'Arla' has been owned by me since a yearling. She is 3yrs old on . Her dam is a quality registered Welsh mare with Eppynt and Revel lines. Her sire is a 16hh appaloosa x TB stallion by the famous 'Champagne Charlie' and 'Amazing Blue' Arla has an amazing temperament, loves people and other horses. Not marish. She comes to call in the field, picks feet up regularly, stands tied, had rugs, tack, hi-viz, boots etc. She doesn't like the scary measuring stick quite yet, tho' will happily have small children run around and sit on her! She has had many walks in hand out on country roads / woodlands alone and in company. She has been introduced to coloured poles in the school and walks over them happily. But this is only because she has only ever been on a horsebox twice with me leading her (a rusty novice owner!) A kick along mare who Loves cuddles and all the attention. Lives off fresh air. You do not have to ride her everyday you can leave her 3/4 weeks and she’s no different the next time you ride. He has been hacked mostly in company, just because that's the way it's worked out, he does hack alone but just not quite as confident, but nothing a bit of practise wouldn't solve. Not nappy, doesn't buck or rear. Very kind mannerly boy. Good in traffic, box, travel, shoe, not keen on being clipped (we sedated, but it was his first time!) not a bad bone in this boy's body, his only 'bad point' (because no-one is perfect) is he does lack a bit of confidence but he does trust his rider and if you say it's ok it's ok. Minky is a lovely mare with a fantastic jump. I have had her a year hacking out on the moors and lessons in the school, but she is capable of so much more and i feel she is completely wasted with me. In her previous home (where she was for 6 years) she hunted, did cross country and endurance and some pony club activities. She also spent a year on working livery at Bicton College. She has never bucked, reared or bolted and is not strong, but she is sharp and can get excited before a canter when hacking (especially in company) and because of this she would not be suitable for a novice and needs a confident and competent rider. Dee (Decaston) has been apart of our family for five years, he has been out of work over the past year due to me starting a full time job and not having enough time and I am starting university in September. Dee will be 19 in may, he has a lovely temperament and is full of character, however he can be forward going therefore I wouldn't class him as a novice ride. He was previously owned by Jeff Winship medieval jousting, which he was used for jousting tournaments, his pictures can still be seen at the link below. Dee prefers to live out 24/7, he is quite happy with or without company. He is also good with the farrier but can become impatient but will be kept happy with food and is good to box. Over the years I have mainly used dee for hacking with or without company, he has also been to many sponsored rides and taken part in cross country. He loves to jump however I have not done much jumping with him. Finding him a good home is essential, more important than the price.
