A superb British made antique steamer trunk. Outstanding quality black painted metal with solid wood braces all round. A stunning original coppered interior. This is in completely original condition so has some dents and marks that all add to its character, full of life and history. Writing reads: H.F Tunbridge, c/o Miss D.Mason,501 New South Head RD,Double bay, Sydney,Australia. This could be used for storage (all catches and handles work),perhaps a blanket box at the foot of a bed. At the moment I have it stood on end and am using it as a lamp stand, endless possibilities. Louis Vuitton Trunk Case - Steamer Trunk - Antique - Coffee

Louis Vuitton Trunk - Orange Vuittonite This trunk dates from circa and considering its age and the extensive traveling it has endured the trunk is in great condition. The construction of the case consists of a strong wooden frame wrapped with the rare orange vuittonite canvass and finished with brown leather protective trims, and branded studs, clasps and latches. Both serial numbers can be found on the inside of the lid and below the main clasp. These can identify where and when the trunk was made. The Trunk was owned by C F A Pantin who we believe was a British Zoologist educated at Christ College Cambridge. Pantin was elected as a fellow of the Royal Society in and won the Royal medal in . He went on to become the president of the Marine Biological Association. More information can be found out about him on Wikipedia. Measurements Length - 101 cm Width - 53 cm Height - 34.5 cm This would make a wonderful coffee table or center piece for any room. Condition As can be expected from an antique trunk of this age there are marks and scuffs to both the fabric and the leather to the exterior of the case (Please study photos). The interior, although in great condition, is missing the internal tray and in one corner, on the underside of the lid, the fabric has come away due to a missing fabric pin. Vintage green wood banded trunk suitcase - coffee table,

This gorgeous vintage green trunk has two locks which close, although they are rusty (no keys). The wood bands are intact and there are brass corner protectors on the bands. The handle is metal and is good but with rust. It is initialled S.A.Sturge. Some wear and tear on the outside, the inside has the original lining with a few tears but overall it is in good vintage worn condition considering its age (probably 40s/50s if not earlier). Please look at the photos for close ups of its condition. This will make a great coffee table, use in a stack or for storage. It weighs 6 kgs when empty and is a good sturdy trunk suitcase. Vintage / Antique Wooden Travel Case / Storage Trunk

In need of a little TLC, as you can see in the attached photos the hinged edge between the two halves has actually come apart. For someone with the right crafting / fixing skills, it would be quite easy to refurbish this with some nice hinges, or even better a classic leather style hinge as you would have seen on trunks like this once upon a time. This minor issue aside the trunk is in fantastic condition for something over 50 years old, and the wooden bracing gives it that fantastic look. Local collection hugely preferred because of size. Antique pine military campaign trunk box chest coffee table

This is a large antique pine military campaign chest probably from about the period. It has the original iron handles, and is bound with old metal straps. The inside is fully tin lined, to use the chest probably for waterproof document storage, or to keep food fresh in ice. It is large, measuring 100cm long, by 55cm deep, by 57cm high. It is heavy. The chest is solid, in good condition for its age, with no woodworm. It has the usual knocks, dents and minor repairs you will find with wooden boxes of this age.
