These are heavy and robustly manufactured objects with relatively high cut velvet. Their wool is of good quality and has a lovely shine. The field is divided into diamond shapes by a continuous lattice comprising lines and tiny rosettes. Sometimes the decoration features spandrels, in other cases it extends freely over the whole field. The central medallion is also an element that is sometimes included in the pattern. Its carpets are knotted entirely in the highest-quality wool since the 15th century. One of their main characteristics is the abundance of weft passages, which can reach up to six per row of knots. The knots are symmetrical and of low density, the hems are of a flat type of 2-4 pairs of warps and and are wound up by the wefts. The edges often end with a wide band of kilim.
