It is with great reluctance that I am selling my great-grandmother's wardrobe, as I have moved to a house with fitted wardrobes. I think it dates from the early s and is a beautiful warm wood, with carved panels on either side of the mirrored door. The door closes with a brass handle and key, and the original mirror has aged which lends it a lovely character. There is a full-width drawer with brass handles. Inside, the wardrobe has a hanging rail and 4 hooks on the back. The pelmet lifts off for ease of moving. Overall dimensions: 112cm wide x 43cm deep x 190cm high. Late Georgian Pembroke table with turned legs and probably later Victorian casters. The casters are brass with brown china wheels. The table is in good condition for a 200 year old antique with terrific colour and patination. The mahogany has rich dark brown tones typical of good quality Georgian furniture. There is a single drawer with brass escutcheon at one end and a falser drawer at the other. Unusually neither real nor false drawer have handles and there is no sign that they ever did. The table has has some minor, and sympathetic, restoration and conservation and looks terrific. This is a very pretty Mahogany Washstand with a very unmarked marble top above which there is a multi small tiled back. There are two small drawers with brass hangles and one centre small storage cupboard. The Washstand is in excellent condition. Although I live in Portknockie this piece of furniture is being looked after by my sister who lives in Deskford due to recently moving and not having the right place for it. This is a charming piece of furniture which fits in anywhere around the home. It has small coloured tiles on the upstand consisting of dark green, light green with a small flower (pink) motif and also maroon colours. There is a marble top which under it are two small drawers with small brass handles. There is a small centre cupboard with handle. The measurements of this Washstand are W42" x H48" D18". Only reason for selling is that I have moved to a more modern home and there is no space for this.
