beautiful antique slate clock with key. This clock is VERY heavy. The slate is in beautiful condition for its age. Very tiny minor nibbles along one or two edges, so small you can barely see them, just feel them. For some reason the glass door on front of the face won't close so this will need sorting. When i moved the clock it did tick for quite a while and it chimes perfectly every hour and half hour when you move the hands round. its a lovely quiet movement and very nice chime I think the movement may just need a clean and service. It is a stunning statement piece but i just dont have the space to display it which is a shame Due to its weight this is definitely collection only! please ask if you want any further photos Read More

This is a wonderful Antique French Gilt Figural 8 Day Movement Mantel Clock with the original key requiring a little tlc. The pendulum swings for a short while then stops so requires a little attention, probably a clean. There is a small repair to the gilt design to one side and a very small part on the opposite side has come away but not easily noticeable. The porcelain dial is enamelled with roman numerals but does show some small signs of age related wear as would be expected. The clock is approximately 30cm tall. RARE OLD ANTIQUE 19TH CENTURY FRENCH VIOLA

A rare late 19th century french viola, JTL workshops circa , proposed for restoration. Today for restoration we propose this rare late 19th century french viola made in the JTL (Jérôme Thibouville-Lamy) workshops circa . The top is made of two pieces of spruce, and shows regular grain lines widening to the edges. The back is made of a single part of maple. The ribs, neck and head are of the same wood. The varnish is of a beautiful red-brown colour, almost ruby. There is a repair on top under the left f hole, a few worm holes have been filled, and some unglued ribs, nothing serious. The viola bears on the inside back the "Celebre Vosgien" label, which was one of the first levels of JTL at the time. These early ones are always well made, the f holes have been carefully carved as well as the head. A rare piece for a restorer! Body lenght: 400 mm. Insured shipping to US $90, and to EU $50.
