Unfortunately I don't know much about this writing box. Having looked at similar designs it would appear to be mahogany with Brass edging in the military style. Drop side handles and side drawer for papers. Inside there is a sloping leather writing surface. There are further compartments for papers and writing implements. There are two ink pots, one has a damaged neck to bottle. Size: Length 40cm x Height 15cm x Depth 24cm. Condition: There is a crack running across the top of the lid & water damage to the varnish, it was used to stand a plant pot on.
