This is in completely original condition so has some dents and marks that all add to its character, full of life and history. Writing reads: H.F Tunbridge, c/o Miss D.Mason,501 New South Head RD,Double bay, Sydney,Australia. This could be used for storage (all catches and handles work),perhaps a blanket box at the foot of a bed. At the moment I have it stood on end and am using it as a lamp stand, endless possibilities. A huge antique metal steamer/shipping trunk. It measures " in length, 20" high and 19" width. Brass lock (no key) and clasps and remains of the original leather handles. Fully lined inside with wood which has been covered with paper (this looks original as it shows tanning and is flaking in places). Comes complete with its original removeable wooden shelf. The trunk does show its age with surface rusting etc. but once restored or painted, would make the ideal coffee table.
