Edwardian chest of drawers with original handles and escutcheons (no key). Solid dark reddish toned wood. A lovely characterful piece of simple traditional furniture. I'm selling because we don't have room for it anymore. Approx dims (cm): 95w x 46d x 86h Condition - used - needs a little TLC: - the drawers push in slightly too far. (you get used to this/would be easy to fix) - there is some wear and tear on the outside - we like the shabby chic look but it would like nice sanded down and refinished too. - always had a crack down each side panel. An Edwardian solid oak wood chest of drawers. Graduated drawers. Great for storage. I have had the chest of drawers for around 8 years and it has stored all my sports/triathlon stuff. There are signs of wear to the top of the chest of drawers from mugs etc, so you may wish to retreat or stain the wood here. The wood is in pretty good condition for its age - please see pics for various marks / holes / defects. ANTIQUE MAHOGANY CHEST OF DRAWERS - VICTORIAN/EDWARDIAN

MAHOGANY CHEST OF DRAWERS 2 over 3 - VICTORIAN/EDWARDIAN I bought this a while ago intending to renovate it but have now moved on to other interests. Sturdy, solid wood, original antique piece of furniture now needing some TLC to bring it back to its original glory or ready to 'shabby chic' it to bring it up to date. Generous storage to slip into an alcove or take its place with pride as a statement piece of furniture. It's structurally sound but sad:-(Two small drawers at the top with three drawers below. All handles are original, and in a dimpled style. All drawers intact and will open to the full extent, although two are stiff to open. All drawers will pull completely out of the chest. Has all four original chunky feet. The trim round the bottom is damaged and I had intended to remove it completely, but if you have the skill you could replace it. All the drawers still have the original locks, but no key - perhaps you have a little old key ready to find a new lock to love?? The top is marked and scuffed. Dimensions: 120cm tall (including the feet which are 15cm tall) 96 cm wide 44cm deep (excluding handles) I've seen these selling for over £200 when renovated or updated. Collection only from Bristol. Please see the photographs- the chest of drawers is in good antique condition & perfectly functional, however it does have a few faint lines of wear along its sides at the top (although these don't seem to have been picked up by the photographs) and along the bottom of the unit. It leans slightly into the wall (apparently very old units were designed this way due to carpet being thicker by the wall in older times) but is perfectly stable and of course flat when up against the wall.
