AKAI AA- hi-fi stereo tuner/amplifier - 120 watts RMS

This was Akai's top-of-the-range tuner/amplifier for several years and the most powerful they ever produced. Excellent condition, high specification, high performance, great sound. 120 watts per channel. The volume, balance and tone controls have no noise or crackling problems and the lamps, LEDs, dual power meters and tuning indicators work as you'd expect them to. Provision for 2 sets of speakers, a turntable, 2 tape decks (for cassette, reel-to-reel, CD, minidisc etc.) and AUX (for iPod, iPhone, mp3 player etc.). There are High and Low filters and the Bass, Mid Range and Treble tone controls offer independent adjustment for the left and right channels. The amplifier section sounds brilliant and has an impressive specification. The tuner section has very good reception on both AM and FM, a variable gain FM Mute button and the tuning flywheel is weighted and turns smoothly. Hi, I am clearing out some studio gear that I am not using at the moment. I used to use this for my flute live effects set up an it was awwwweeessoooommmmmeeee!!!! This is a solid pedal. It has a few scrapes but works perfectly. It needs a 9v adaptor, and can be run on batteries. I recently had the adaptor fixed in Brighton guitars so it's just been serviced and works fine. This pedel (in my opinion) is WAY WAY WAY better than the new ones with the distortion ect - it's really simple and I love the mix of 3 octaves... Proper drum n bass sine wave styleeee - Im gonna miss it... but there's no point keeping stuff you don't use anymore... It's Taiwan made and late 80s I think. Total beast. Feel free to ask me any questions about it and I can drop it off to local Brighton and hove places in my van dave
