Adult Male Leucistic Axolotl

Adult Male Leucistic Axolotl

This Axolotl is leucistic in colour and bred by myself. He is 4 years old He also has small stubbly gills that he was born with but is not an issue at all. ---------- Axolotls are extinct in the wild and only way you can see them now is through captive breeding. They are simple to look after, all you need is a rectangular tank an ideal size is minimum of 60cm x 30cm x 30cm, cold water, water declorinator, live earthworms for food and a cave for it to hide in. I prefer not to use Filters as they like the water as still as possible so manual changes of water is best. I am unable to post them out to you so will be collection only from the M9 area of Manchester. 2 adult male Axolotl- leucistic and wild type

2 adult male Axolotl- leucistic and wild type

It is with great sadness that I have taken the decision to rehome my two axolotls. They have grown significantly over the years and I feel now really need a bigger tank than the 2.5ft Tank I can provide, as we don't have the space for a bigger one. They are healthy and have been enjoyable and easy to keep. Blanco is leucistic and Diablo is wild type. Diablo had an injury to one front foot a few years ago so it looks slightly different to his others but you probably wouldn't even realise had I not said. If you are interested please message me and I can send more photos. Blanco was about 1 when I got him about five years ago and Diablo came about a year later and is slightly smaller. I have had them for quite a few years now. Collection only from Eastham, Wirral, Merseyside. £20 for both or may consider selling separately for 15 each. They don't seem particularly attached to each other but it would be sensible for them to remain together if possible as they don't fight. Perfect settled pair for a newbie to the axolotl hobby who has the space and time to enjoy them at their happiest. Please ensure you have a large tank of minimum 3ft length preferably even 4ft, and at least 1.5ft width as they are big (depth means nothing as they live on the bottom). These eat shrimp pellets, frozen bloodworm and garden earthworms. Gravel bottom must not be used as they suck it in and get ill. Use either sand or leave tank bottom bare. Read More
