It has some minor scratches and tiny dents on the back and sides, but apart from that, it plays beautifully and sounds fantastic for its price. Perfect for any type of player at any type of level. Offered here is an old Yamaha FG420 right handed 6 string acoustic guitar This early example was made on the 27th December at the Kaohsiung Factory in Taiwan and has the rare Dove Logo on the headstock (Yamaha changed its headstock Logo to a Leaf design in ) The FG420 features a Spruce top, Toog two piece back and sides, Nato neck, Ovangkol fingerboard, Indian Rosewood Bridge and Die Cast Chrome tuners Condition is best described as very good overall or excellent for age. It does have one or two minor marks but is structurally sound and the cosmetic defects certainly don’t affect the loud and fabulous sound this instrument produces. I have shown the worst mark in the last photo against a five pence coin for scale but any inspection is welcome This guitar comes with the original Yamaha tag and tool that came with it when purchased new and a JSH hard case that I understand was purchased new with the guitar which is also in good condition. Black Yamaha ll6 ARE electro acoustic in padded semi/hard case. I brought this guitar just before xmas so about 15 months old. A few minor lacquer dings and some light scratches from use, most would polish out. Shallow buckle rash on the back. Minor fret wear on the 1st and 2 strings in the first position. It is minor, not enough to warrant a fret dress as the notes clearly sing. I never really play further up the board on acoustic. I removed the original pickguard as I personally prefer an acoustic without the pickguard. Easily and cheaply replaced. Less than £10 for Yamaha design. Just strung with a fresh set of Martin extra lights. If I'm honest they never sound great when first strung but after a day or 2 seem to sound stunning. A spare set included also.
