Offered here is an old Yamaha FG420 right handed 6 string acoustic guitar This early example was made on the 27th December at the Kaohsiung Factory in Taiwan and has the rare Dove Logo on the headstock (Yamaha changed its headstock Logo to a Leaf design in ) The FG420 features a Spruce top, Toog two piece back and sides, Nato neck, Ovangkol fingerboard, Indian Rosewood Bridge and Die Cast Chrome tuners Condition is best described as very good overall or excellent for age. It does have one or two minor marks but is structurally sound and the cosmetic defects certainly don’t affect the loud and fabulous sound this instrument produces. I have shown the worst mark in the last photo against a five pence coin for scale but any inspection is welcome This guitar comes with the original Yamaha tag and tool that came with it when purchased new and a JSH hard case that I understand was purchased new with the guitar which is also in good condition. Unfortunately for me it's finally time to sell my beloved Yamaha F310 (worth £ RRP). An excellent option for beginners or just casual players. There are no issues with the fretboard and plays beautifully, especially with the D'Addario strings I put on it. There are signs of wear and tear with some chips and dents on the guitar but none of that takes away from the sound and can be easily looked past. The guitar will come with a Guild Dreadnought Hard Case (worth around £90 RRP) which is as sturdy as anything. There is a compartment inside for picks, straps, tuners etc and the guitar fits in perfectly, ensuring safety.
