Very sad sale of Gortatlea Rocket (Roo). 17.3hh Warmblood X Irish  gelding for sale, 10 yrs old. Perfect Hunting Horse! Absolute gentle giant. His only vice is eating leather if it's left in his way! Before I got him, Roo has done BD and been placed has established flying changes, schooled to elementary, jumped bs on a ticket to newcomer level, has hunted and xc schooled over full 110cm xc course jumped everything ditches, water, hedges etc.   Recently Hunted with the Bicester & Whaddon (even did gates).   Hacks alone and in company.  Fantastic to box catch shoe etc, good to clip, but have to twitch to clip face. Won the puissance at Solihull's Christmas show clearing 145cm In Dec 14! sad sale of my 16.1 tb gelding he has been there and done it all he excels at hunting and is outstanding in all aspects he stands at the meet will go on point excellent around the hounds will go any were in the field and jump anything you point him at sensibly. i have done gate shutting with him and got off and left him in a 20 acre field he stands and waits like a rock. i have also done some hunter trials with him he does steps,water,skinny's owl holes any thing asked of him. he is ridden in a happy mouth at all times does not pull or light up in company or on grass. he hacks alone or in company bombproof in traffic and dogs running towards him. he retired from racing sound no leg problems. he is good to clip,shoe,box,catch,bath loves to be fussed good around children and good to lead around overall a brilliant horse to do. i feel as he is a tb i dont want him going to a novice or nervous rider he does nothing wrong never bucked.reared napped or spun but does need a competent experienced rider to go and do a job with him he thrives on work genuine reason for sale as im starting to go up the grades eventing and he prefers hunting/ xc up to date with wormer,back,teeth,jabs,shoes. must be a good home no tack,loans or trials he will come with his rug Read More

UPDATED - Tommy competed in Combined Training at Allens Hill on Friday 11th November and won the Prelim 13 with 85cm jumping class! Carrigean Tommy, a 14.2hh, 11 year old, Irish Cob. A lovely pony who is a sensible hack, alone and in company, and brave in traffic. Has, on one occasion, bucked when cantering behind in a group after a few days off. Super flatwork, supple, works in an outline, consistent and balanced. He has schooled cross country and show jumping proving to be bold and scopey. Excellent for farrier, loading and travelling by trailer and lorry, catching, clipping and to handle in all respects although he was sedated for his teeth to be rasped 2 months ago. With previous owners he competed Affiliated Dressage at Prelim Level, winning his first competition in a class of 9 and reportedly hunted and show jumped in Ireland before coming to England almost 2 years ago. I bought Tommy as a mother daughter share, confidence building, school master but he can occasionally get strong when jumping and run through the bridle and this is why I am selling him as I am not confident enough to deal with it.
