A walnut and brass writing slop, England - circa

This Antique Victorian Writing Slope circa, has been constructed from walnut with brass plaque and brass escutcheon. The interior comprises of an early, tooled writing insert and removable pen tray, a flip out lidded compartment for pens, nibs etc. The inside main surface has a black original lining with a decorative boarder and corner motifs. A two-sided insert, when opened up, reveals two separate storage areas for letters and documents. Some scratches and dents, a veneer is missing in a few places, cracks to the black leather and inside lid has been reinforced with a green velvet, please see the photos, otherwise in a very good condition.
