It has a nice patina and a very warm serene look.Origin: this Corpus hung in the refectory above the door of an old nunnery in the region of Bruges, Belgium. Originally, however, it is in Habsburg Baroque style, probably from the Tirol region.This piece is approx. 150 years old and bears traces of wear by age and religious custom, it has some old imperfections, see pictures. Wonderful large Mary statue in baroque style. The statue has beautiful details and has a very serene feel. It is an early statue with a solid size, approx. 62 cm high, from . It is in its original unrestored condition, of course, it is somewhat worn, which is no surprise after approx. 250 years of intensive religious use. It has some flaws including the polychrome and hands, see photos. All of this gives this statue a beautiful melancholic appearance. Mary is standing on a crescent of the moon, with the serpent, which is dying under her feet.
