Sweet 14hh 5 year old Cob x Gelding in Newport

Meet Paddy - very sweet natured, lovable 14hh cob cross gelding. He will be 6 this year and is broken to ride, although still green in school esp with canter transitions. Hacks out alone or in company, needs confidence to push forwards sometimes as still young. Absolute dream to bath, groom and for farrier, vet, dentist, all have commented on what a fantastic pony he is. Very genuine, honest type who will give you his all and his very best to please. Up to date with worming, farrier, dentist, just starting him off on vaccinations. Very sad sale as I love him to pieces and think he will be an amazing pony but due to work commitments and another horse I'm worried I don't have the time he needs and deserves to put into schooling. Would like him to go to experienced home where he can be brought to full potential, although confident novice would be fine. He went out and won his first novice dressage test we did and we established our jumping covering 90cm out and over a metre at home. This horse however has potential to jump much higher and knows his job. However, I fell pregnant in January and he had some time off due to this. He is now back in work and going nicely but I am now unable to give him the time and commitment needed to event on him which is the reason I purchased him. He is stabled and kept in Pinkneys Green in Maidenhead. He is lovely to hack and can be ridden in the school but he prefers hacking. He would suit an older rider who just wants something completely safe and reliable to enjoy twice a week or he would suit a younger rider with an experienced mum who wants a pony that has been there and done that and is a little school master. Sharer for 14hh cob gelding

Bertie is our gorgeous mother daughter share cob gelding who we have owned for 2 years. He is currently in work 4-5 days per week schooling, hacking and natural horsemanship games/sessions however my daughter is not doing as much as hoped and I'm finding it difficult to keep up the work I think Bertie needs to bring him on. Bertie is kept at Southview yard just outside Wellingborough. It has miles of off road hacking including a nice long strip to gallop up, and a flood lit ménage. There are lots of people to hack with and the potential to join the yard parelli group. I am looking for someone who wants to work with Bertie at least 2 days per week, who is no more than 11.5 stone in weight, and who is happy to ride in a treeless saddle. You will also need rider insurance please, which I will check. Payment to made monthly in advance. We can agree set days or I can be totally flexible depending on what you want to do. Bertie can occasionally spook when out hacking, particularly if alone, although he tends to jump to the side or forward and comes back to listen pretty quickly. However, he can nap if you try a route he's not so familiar with and therefore needs firm direction from his rider. When schooling he will try to get away with minimum effort as he's pretty laid back and chilled out. However, he can move beautifully and be relaxed and forward if you are firm but sensitive with him. I wouldn't say he's a born jumper so if jumping is your thing you will need to work at it to develop him with this. He's had both my kids and my kids' novice friends on him and I am happy to have my 11 year old daughter hack him out around the open fields with me walking/running beside.
