7 months old, born on 22nd July . Really sad to see her go, she has a superbly calm temperament, is absolutely adorable, will let you do anything with her. She will quite happily come and sit next to you and want to be stroked. I'm not sure whether she has started laying yet as I have a number of chickens - it is either her or my Vorwerk who have started laying. I also have a laying cream legbar. Stunning, friendly young hen at point of lay. She has the typical frizzle upward pointing feathers in a stunning red brown speckled colour. Her mum was pure frizzle and her dad was half pekin and half marans columbine cross. This means she may lay a blue or green egg (about 20% chance). Hybrids lay more than pure breeds and she should lay minimum 280 eggs ayear. All my hens are incubator hatched and hand reared so are very human friendly. I only hatch a few batches a year so give them individual care and attention. They are wormed and treated for lice every six months. They sleep in plastic coops to avoid red mites and have the run of the garden during the day. Read More
