Tascam 38 Reel to Reel half inch tape recorder with DX-4D noise reduction units X2

Sold in non working condition…… However both forward and rewind motors are fully working. I bought a replacement capstan motor from roland-vintage-audio dot com for €90 a while ago with the intention of installing it myself, but got cold feet when i realised it’s beyond my technical abilities. I believe I put a new belt on it a year ago when i got it out of storage and cleaned the heads and pinch roller (could probably do with replacing, but it’s not perished, just a tad sticky) All worked fine for about an hour as i was transferring tapes to DAW and then the capstan motor gave up as tapes were still too sticky after being unused for about 10 years. Comes with take up reel and 2 xDX-4D noise reduction units. All buttons and lights work. i Think I still have its original Box and possibly the manual I’d rather not post i due to it’s weight and age, but if you want to arrange your own courier and take the risk, then go ahead! £150. A vintage s reel to reel tape player made by Philips. Comes with microphone which hides away inside the body of the machine. Also comes with plug (I can't test this as it's an old fashoined plug!). We have tested the player with batteries in it (it takes 6 x D batteries - not included) and the right hand spindle turns when play or fast forward is pressed, but nothing happens when rewind is pressed. I can't test whether any sound comes out as I have no reel to reel tapes. There is a little damage to the case: there's a crack just behind the rewind button (see 3rd picture) and the blue translucent cover is damaged at the left hand side.
