Overwintered 6 frame Nuc's
I have kept bees since a child, and currently manage over 35 production colonies, as a hobby only. I anticipate some limited surplus from both overwintered stocks and my own Queen Rearing programme and will make up Nucs for sale. Overwintered colonies are likely to be available at the end of March (headed by queens) subject to weather, and the summer nucleus in Late June / early July ( queens) Taught by my father, I take pride in sound beekeeping husbandry and will ensure that the bees come to you with ample stores, are queenright with brood in all stages and in a strong condition. In either case the bees will be over 6 British Standard National Hoffman (DN4) frames. They will be contained in a wooden framed, corex travel box - made specifically for the job. Alternatively, I can supply the bees to you in a new Poly nuc for an additional £20 (significant reduction in retail price) the poly Nuc is ideal for future use in your beekeeping - raising colonies, housing swarms etc I will give you as much advice and help as I can throughout the process and will send detailed, written instructions regarding collection, transfer to your hive etc. The colonies will need to be collected from my home near Warwick and just 5 minutes from Junction 15 M40 (I do not post or deliver) The bees I have are natural hybrids, selected over many years for their temperament, resistance to the common bee ailments and productivity. All of my queens are a product of my own selective rearing process. Overwintered colonies are £165 and will be expanding rapidly when you receive them. They will be ready to exploit the early nectar flow and give you a good chance of a honey crop. Summer nucs are charged at £145 with their young queen, which should take the colony strongly into the winter ready for a good start the following spring.
