If the only source of heat will be the log/pellet boiler, the Teknik tank can be substituted for a more basic Aqualux UB tank. Domestic hot water, if required, would need to be supplied via a plate heat exchanger. Aqualux Teknik Accumulator Tank The Teknik accumulator tank is a futures-proofing multi-heat source capable buffer tank which features built in 160 litre domestic hot water tank, solar thermal coil and its stratification makes it compatible with air source heat pumps. So if you have plans to add additional renewable heating sources in the future, the Aqualux Teknik tank is a great choice! The 500 litre basic Aqualux UB accumulator tank included in this bundle is perfect for a single heat source, but if you think you'd like to use multiple renewable heat sources in the future, this accumulator can be upgraded to the "Teknik" tank which offers stratification, solar coil (ready for solar thermal), 160 litre internal domestic hot water tank, and supports air source heat pumps.
