Nova 27 sail boat solid sea cruiser liveaboard floating home in France
Aquila is a Nova 27. A very solid, safe and capable sea cruiser. With her full head room, and nearly 10ft beam, she feels very roomy inside, and can sleep four adults easily. She has a large cockpit for those all important sunset drinks, or sunrise coffees, and is currently based in the beautiful Vilaine River, basking in the sunshine in Brittany, North West France, and would make an ideal liveaboard, or a fabulous base for a floating holiday home or getaway retreat! She benefits from ridiculously cheap moorings, fantastic sailing, and being adjacent to the cute artisan French market town of La Roche Bernard, an area very popular with UK sailors! The marina is very sheltered in all wind directions, and ideally located for easy access to UK via Nantes airport (55mins drive), or Portsmouth/St Malo & Plymouth/Roscoff ferry ports (2.5hrs drive) and right in the heart of the stunning cruising grounds of Morbihan and Quiberon Bay. Islands and beaches all within a day sail! Or 30 miles of non tidal inland river system, which is a fishing hotspot, and navigable all the way to Redon. She comes with JRC Radar. ST Auto tiller. Plastimo compass. Meticulously maintained Volvo Penta 24hp engine. Lavac sea toilet. Roller Genoa. Fully battened main sail with three reefs, stack pack and lazy jacks. Eberspacher heating (needs service). Plastimo oven with grill and 2 burner hob. Stainless steel sink with manual hand pump water. Cabin table. Depth/Log. Handheld VHF radio. Garmin GPS. Spray hood and dodgers. Danforth anchor, with chain. Manual windlass. Auto bilge pump. Horseshoe life buoy, lifejackets x2, Sprayhood, Dodgers. Plates, cutlery, kettle, pans etc Shore power. 240v and 12 v, small invertor, mains circuit breaker. Batteries charged via engine or shore power. She is solidly built and ready to cruise or liveaboard. I'm using her now so all systems are go! Very capable boat and very comfortable. Easy to singlehand. Deep dry cockpit. Tiller helm. We sailed her from North West UK, via Irish Sea, Isles of Scilly, Brest, Iles de Glenans, Benodet, and now Baie de Quiberon. She is a good solid boat to continue cruising, or equally ideal as a liveaboard or base for a little floating holiday home based on the beautiful sheltered river mooring location she is currently in, adjacent to the cute little artisan town of La Roche Bernard, Brittany.
