Classic Carlight Cassetta Caravan. Berth I do not believe there are many of these coming up for sale or that many left, becoming a rare classic. As I now have a new boat, Spike needs a new owner. Spike is in great condition, looks great and is a hoot to sail but we have up-sized to a bigger boat. He did not fancy a capsizable craft, so he set-to and designed a little cruising yacht and the Silhouette was born. In the first one was built, called "Blue Boy", for the cost of £85.; This was the Mk1 and 29 were built. With the success of "Blue Boy" Robert Tucker redesigned and built the Mk 2 and the first was named "Susanne"; she was built for just over £100 by Yarmouth Boat Builders. In a Mk2 was put in the London Boat, Caravan and Camping Show. It was at this show George Hurley first met Robert Tucker and saw the Silhouette, Mr Hurley was showing caravans at the same show. One of the best Hurley 22's available and possibly the best! 'Rochelle' has always been regularily maintained by me and previous owners and has spent nearly all of her life in Cornwall. She has just been polished and antifouled for this season and is ready to sail with no outstanding issues or repairs needed. Currently on a pontoon berth in Premier Falmouth Marina. The berth could be transfered if required. Before launching in May 'Rochelle' had 2 new batteries fitted, new through hull log transducer and new galley waste skin fitting changed. Along with normal annual engine service, antifouling and hull/deck polish. 'Rochelle' is a very safe and forgiving yacht and as such is ideal for the novice/learner sailer. The travels of Hurley 22's are renowned with many Atlantic crossings. The Hurley owners club website is a wealth of information. This Hurley 22 is rare having an inboard Yanmar 10hp diesel engine that was fitted in . Her running rigging was replaced in and standing rigging in .
