Prelude 19 Sailing Yacht/ Boat/Cruiser on Trailer

If you are in the market for a sailing yacht but only have access to a shallow mooring then this may be a solution. Prelude 19 swinging keel yacht in GRP with original gelcoat on the hull, deck and coach roof. Manufactured by Rydgeway Marine circa , the same builders of the Pandora yacht range with many of its attributes. Berths for four in an open plan accommodation and a generous sized cockpit that seats four adults with locker space under the seats. All areas of the deck have non-slip mouldings in the gelcoat for grip in the wet. Swinging pendulum keel that draws 1.5ft when wound up and 4.5ft when lowered putting the ballast far into the water where you need it to provide stability. It is controlled from the helm position.The keel is an improvement on the mk1 version which moved up/down from a keel box. With the mk2 version keel, if an underwater obstruction is hit or you round aground, the keel raises up over it and drops down again instead of possibly becoming dislodged. It also removes the need for an obtrusive keelbox in the cabin. Sails consist of a main and jibsail. Powered by a Seagull outboard engine. Sits on a single axle launching trailer. An ideal and safe little pocket cruiser that is at home on the inland waterways or pottering around the coast with the ability to overnight on it. No texts or with held numbers thanks. 25' Sailing Yacht/ Boat & Trailer new parts Never sailed

Fallmouth Gypsy Mark two,Bought around by an engineer in Kit form using pre made GRP Hull who almost finished it before passing away. His Family were not interested in it at all and it stayed on its trailer ever since approx 35 years. During that time it was not even visited. Then about four years ago it was brought up from Cornwall to Leister where the Family had moved to. For this move it was fitted with brand new 600 x 16 Landrover Series one Tyres these are still like new and worth £150 each tyre as these are not remoulds and are very collect able. It also had new wheel bearings fitted although it has never been immersed it was felt to that journey everything needed to be spot on. You can see by the cover it was not in the best of shapes and had let rainwater in for many years getting inside the boat through the unsealed Windows. This rotted the marine plywood around the Windows. I have now replaced both sides and replaced them using a full sheet of marine plywood I have installed old bronze opening port holes which look great. I am now doing the final repairs around the rear seat surrounds as the frames needed replacing. Once this is done then the shroud plates need fitting and it's ready to sail. Everything is supplied brand new unused shroud plates, standing and running rigging. About half the shrouds have been made using self assembly stainless steel couplings for the stainless steel wire ends. The rest of the wire and couplings are supplied with extras. The shroud plates need some holes drilling and then they can be bolted to the hull sides. There is a Tabernackle fitted for the mast. The mast and boom although new and unused were mounted on the boat under the covers which blew off the ends so they have faded slightly. A tin of gold paint would reinstate them or maybe slight abrasive polish. The sails are still folded how the manufacturer would have folded them in their sail bags. No damage or smells as hey have laws been kept indoors along with the brand new cushions for the seats and Four single berths. Loads of storage space in cupboards and under beds. The woodwork is mainly teak and mahogany and it's been made to the highest quality by a dedicated man for his own personal use. The HULL is GRP with teak rubbing strakes a three bladed bronze propeller remote greaser for the front propshaft bearing / water seal. The Engine is BUHK 10 HP Diesel inboard engine and gearbox with single lever control. It starts and runs exactly how it should with no smoke. Although the Diesel could do with changing after being in the boat all that time. These engines are renown world wide as being the best engine in the world at that time. Although it's a single cylinder it has balance weights and self adjustable timing so it always runs smooth no matter what revs it's doing. Made in Denmark. There is a large stainless steel diesel tank fitted so it should only use less than a litre an hour it will have a large range just under power. The tank is filled from outside the boat so no diesel will end up inside the boat if you overflow it when filling. The same goes for the water tank that is situated in the bow section just in front of the large chain / warp locker. It is pumped to the Kitchen sink via a foot pump and the drain goes through the hull side. It does have a small gas stove but it's a bit rusty. There is a gas bottle inside a rear locker and a length of new copper pipe with a flexible hose to connect it to a stove. Or just use one with a throw away canister as they are so cheap. It has a really nicely made solid teak table which needs sanding as it also has water marks. The inside was painted white but I have removed quite a lot as I wanted to see the Mahogany timber so I was going to varnish it. Four full size bunk beds with plenty of width.storage under each. The sea toilet is plumbed in and working with a nice timber cover over it when not in use. The escape hatch is above. It has a pul pit and push pit along with staunchions and guard wires. I have replaced most of the marine plywood at the stern but an odd bit needs doing along with two cupboard frames. There is an access panel at the rear of the engine and the whole of the front panel removes so access is superb. I have changed the engine oil and oil filter. I have also changed the starter motor and alternator as they both suffered from water damage they still work so are included be ideal for spare but they won't be needed. The alternator is the later type with built in regulator ect instead of all the separate wiring. The hatch is very large incorporating two sliding hatches the top of each hatch needs slight repairs either with a filler and paint or replace the plywood and do a proper job as it deserves it. There is teak decking to the cockpit and seats and solid teak floor in the cabin ect Solid mahogany tiller and rudder. It's at Sleaford Lincs and can be seen anytime and ai suggest you do so as you will not be dissapointed with the standard of work done and what it will turn into with about three weekends more work. It's a bespoke boat trailer made by a proper trailer manufacturer and is rated at kgs. Good working brakes. The hull has a long keel with side bilge plates so it will sit level on,sand ect and will not tip up if you walk forward or to the stern.mhqbing three keels means the draft is about 30" and spreads the load and makes it far more stable on unequal ground. It could be used now as a motor Crusier as everything is working ok. But it would be a shame if not made into its proper role of sailing boat. The only reason I am selling is I am disabled and can no longer climb up the large ladder carrying things ect. kgs twin axle road trailer that can carry a 25 ' long boat or smaller. I think part of the chassis is from a caravan) -Spinnaker -12V Battery (for gauges) Additional Information from the very active and informative Silhouette owners site: The Silhouette was designed by Robert Tucker, a naval architect who loved dinghy cruising, which involved sailing by day and camping on the bank or beach by night. Mr Tucker felt that it would be a good idea to make a dinghy with a lid on it and avoid sleeping on the cold ground. He did not fancy a capsizable craft, so he set-to and designed a little cruising yacht and the Silhouette was born. In the first one was built, called "Blue Boy", for the cost of £85.; This was the Mk1 and 29 were built. With the success of "Blue Boy" Robert Tucker redesigned and built the Mk 2 and the first was named "Susanne"; she was built for just over £100 by Yarmouth Boat Builders. In a Mk2 was put in the London Boat, Caravan and Camping Show. It was at this show George Hurley first met Robert Tucker and saw the Silhouette, Mr Hurley was showing caravans at the same show. Around the same time Ernie Miners, a carpenter who worked for George Hurley, asked permission from George to build himself a 'Redwing' dinghy on the premises at Richmond Walk. Seeing the dinghy being built, George decided that his factory could also build boats. In George Hurley started to build Silhouette Mk2s and at the London Boat Show that year entered a Silhouette for the all-up price of £265. Around of these ply Mk 2s were build between and when Hurley had changed over to just GRP. In experiments where made with this new material called glass fibre, this was first used for sinks for the caravans and boats, then a mould was made for a Silhouette deck fitted into a ply hull. In Hurley also started building the Mk 2 in glass fibre. About 370 of these were built between and . In the Silhouette was redesigned again as the Mk3: round bottom, all GRP. About 365 of these were built between and . In the Mk 4 was designed and built at Hurley Marine between and and 25 were built. After Hurley Marine went out of business in , the moulds were sold to Russell Curnow of Marazion, Cornwall and Silhouettes were built there up to . R Curnow also built a Mk 5, the price in was £ complete. R Curnow also built the H18 after Hurley Marine. From there the moulds for the Silhouette went to and were built by Varne Yachts who later became Weston Boats and they went out of business in . Minor Point Noted recently: After the heavy rain at the beginning of June the top ply on the starboard cockpit seat has lifted at one end. It will certainly last this season, but I'd probably want to replace it for next season, for cosmetic reasons. Very simple job. Will take half a day at most using the old one to cut round. Currently moored at Limekilns, Fife. Mooring is paid for this year and should be available for the future if you wish. This obviously needs agreement through the Forth Cruising Club. I have left the partitioning up for new owner as a template other than this everything has been striped out and is left as a blank canvas for your inspiration ideas or dreams take you the boats comes with canopy and frame which will probably need replacing but have left again for template there are various bits of trim and bow bar with the boat and a window other the boat is 20ft in length from the transom to partitioning being around 7ft some room there to maybe have seating there with cabin being around 10ft ideal still steering wheel and controls still in place. The trailer is tow-able and i towed in 10 miles but tyres did deflate after several hours hubs and bearings will need replacing so trailer needs some TLC to be restored to a fully functional launching trailer again this was my grandads project and had planned to restore thist however due to circumstances no longer able to do this the boat Hull is 95% sound and strong sound with some minor repairs a good sand down filler and re antifouled would be great if you are looking for project that has a blank canvas then this would be great for you

This is a boat trailer which is now surplus to my requirements. It carried my 14 ft boat but might take a bit bigger boat. It is ten feet from the jockey wheel to the axle. It comes with traailer board and winch which is not attached. It has a locking hitch and there is a spare wheel but the tyre would need to be put on it. I used it to tow my 14ft two berth saing boat from Selsey to Glasgow a round trip of about 900 miles. Towed several times after that with no problems. I have just given it a wire brush with a drill and a fresh coat of paint. It is near Glasgow city centre and I could deliver it for free up to ten miles as long as it was all paid for first.
