This little Solid State amp is a great little beast, It has a tiny speaker that can produce big sounds. This amp is great for anything from for hard rock to metal. It has five watts of solid state power and is suprisingly loud. It has little clean headroom so not an amp for people who want crystal clear cleans but has a pretty decent overdrive-distortion. Runs off either a 9v battery or 9v dc powersupply (not included). Has two knobs, volume and tone. It is dual channel so it does do cleans but as i said if you crank the volume when it is on the clean channel it does slowly verge into overdrive. This Hi-Watt amp is much sort after for it's great sound. The controls all work without crackles and all inputs and outputs work as they should. This is a rare vintage amp from the Hylight era of Hiwatt circa with original Partridge transformers. Original Mullard power valves with one JJ replacement tube and a new power switch on the front. For sale is my great little Gilmore Jr. 1/2 Watt Tube Amp - and 2 watt mod. I used this for a little while with a 1x12 cab trying to keep my volume down whilst still playing a great vintage tube amp sound. I also have the valve and adaptor that take it up to 2 watts - still not that loud but an even cleaner sound. New it would be around £420 plus shipping and import duty AND it would come as a kit - you would have to build it. I barely use it now as I moved to an even smaller amp.
