Grandfather Clock 30 Hour Late 18th century This was my granddads clock, he was always messing with clocks This clock runs well and keeps reasonable time. there is no bell as i remember he said it kept him awake! The Strike hammer is there and works on the hour, also a date dial is present and seems to work. The clock face is crazed and has worn over the years The case is original but needs a lot of TLC The pendulum has been messed about with but it works!! 30 Hour Cottage Oak Long case Grandfather Clock. circa cm High, 42 cm wide and approx. 20 cm deep The clock is cottage size, it will fit in any modern house. Beautiful Oak case with lovely inlay. Runs perfect and keeps good time The clock face is in very good condition and the date wheel seems to move. I have had to fit a modern lock to the door, the door had been forced open by the last owner as they lost the key. Oak and Mahogany case with blind fretwork detail, fluted quarter columns with turned capitals, superb patternation, also flower inlays, on bracket feet, the hood with swan neck pediments, 3 Brass Ball and Eagle Finials, fluted columns with brass capitals, a top quality clock, The clock detail has a Shepherdess with Dog and Flock of Sheep Scene with Thatched Cottages painted dial. The eight day movement strikes the hours on a bell & the clock is complete.
