16.1 rising 5yo bay gelding for sale. Casius is good to do in every way and has impeccable manners on the ground. Will hack out alone or in company. Will go first or last and isn't fazed by any traffic whatsoever. Snaffle mouthed at all times has been to Summerhouse jumping,unaffiliated dressage, day camps and XC training showing a very willing attitude. Never bothered by new surroundings, never hot or fizzy. HAWTHORN 15.3hh gelding (Friesian x Andalusian) 4yo

Hawthorn is 4 years old and was professionally backed this summer. He has been hacked out along the country lanes and in the fields. He has seen all varieties of traffic including tractors, buses, cyclists, cars and motorbikes. This gorgeous boy is back for sale (at a reduced price), as the lvtb he was going on did not happen due to the loaner's change of circumstances. I've had him for 2 years and now I am selling as I can no longer give him the time and attention he needs due to work and family commitments. I only ride him 2 times per week these days, but he is the same as ridden daily. He is an 8 y.o. Reg Sec C gelding, he was shown in his previous home, always in ribbons. I did a couple of local shows with him, which he enjoyed. He has been sympathetically broken and schooled over the 2 years I've had him. He has 3 beautiful, comfortable paces, good transitions. We mastered walk to canter and change of lead. He will work for you in a nice outline, if that's what you want to do. He showed some great talent in show jumping with his beautiful, scopey jump and he really enjoys it. He does not rear, buck or bolt. Good sides: * Beautiful action and plenty of jump in this boy * Very good in traffic and to hack * Good to handle, also by children * Good to catch, load, with farrier, dentist, etc * Can live in or out with no stable vices * Never sick or lame * Lives off thin air, very cheap to keep * Can be ridden as often or as rarely as you want, doesn't get silly * He would suit a mother/daughter, teenager, lightweight person who wants to have a fun pony up for anything, really. His bad sides: * He can be nappy in a new situation/place. He needs plenty of re-assurance and positive encouragement. If you try something new, he needs to warm up to it little by little or he will get overwhelmed. * He can be cheeky with young/inexperienced riders. He will just have a mind of his own or be really lazy. (But never nasty!) * Not much recent experience in show ring.
