16.1hh TB chestnut gelding 7yo

Lovely calm TB gelding. Over the past 6 weeks or so he has been worked and has come on so much! Last time I advertised him he wasn't doing much at all. He's a sweet natured boy who is a dream to handle on the end of a rope! Easy to catch, shoe, load travel etc. He has had time off last summer for his feet to recover and they are now perfect! He also had ulcer treatment and is in perfect health. His only problem is he can be a bit riggy with the mares! He needs to be in an all gelding field/yard. Separate fields would work, and tbh rig calm did help when I put him on it before. This riggy behaviour means he can nap if taken out alone, fine in company. And if I take my mare away from him he gets upset. With my mare out of the equation he was a lamb. He's been doing a little bit of jumping and some schooling and has come on so much in 6 weeks. Nothing bothers him otherwise, great In Traffic etc. Ridden by an 10 year old and a 13 year old. I can't separate them as we have mixed fields so I can't make it work. Comes with all tack and rugs. Such a character. He does windsuck occasionally but normally only when bored or just eaten. Stops with a collar but I hardly ever have to put it on. Harry isn't your typical thoroughbred ! He is very calm and sedate and just wants to be your best friend. He raced 3 times (goodness knows how!) lol Harry was bought for my partner to ride but he has now got into motorbikes and Harry is being totally wasted. He hacks out in company and has done a few little walks alone. His schooling is coming along and he has proved to be brave and bold over jumps. He doesn't hot up hacking even when cantering or going for a blast or jumping. He's goes back to his ploddy self. My partner is a capable novice but is very nervous and although Harry is young he has always taken good care of him and has never done anything to worry him. Home bred handsome 16.2hh chestnut gelding. 6 years old now, broken 2 years ago and has been brought on slowly due to my complete lack of time. He is snaffle mouthed, sensible, not fazed by traffic but is occasionally a bit nappy. Goes nicely on the flat and has jumped tiny cross poles but not really started his jumping training. Shod regularly and has been clipped in previous years but still woolly this year. Not competed yet and ready for someone with more time to take him to see the world! I bred him to event but really can't find time to do him justice. His full brother and sister are successful all rounders. Sad sale of a real character who is part of the family at a bargain price. 10 year old TB 16'2 TB Gelding

10 year old 16'2 TB Gelding. We have owned Felix for just over a year and have come to the conclusion that he needs a home that has more time for him. He has come a long way since we brought him but needs more work and we just don't have the time. He schools beautifully the way he carries himself is delightful he has three lovely paces and has a lovely fluid movement, I could imagine him doing a very nice dressage test. We have never taken him out competing and apart from popping him over a little jump in our school he hasn't done any jumping since we have owned him so can't really comment on his jumping ability. We are definitely what you would call a happy hacking home so haven’t taken him to shows. He is best when ridden frequently although last weekend we rode for the first time in 3 months and hacked on both Saturday and Sunday. On Saturday he was excited and it took longer than usual to tack him up and as soon as my husbands bottom was in the saddle he was jogging up the road! He jogged around and was generally very excitable so we only did road work. On the Sunday he was like a totally different horse, stood quietly to be tacked up, easy to mount and was cool as a cucumber so we went out for a good 2 hours and had 3 canters and a gallop. It was very pleasant hack. My husband and I mainly hack together which Felix does prefer but he has hacked alone and if he did it more I am sure he would settle much more quickly. We hack down fairly busy roads and he is fine, he does very occasionally do excited little bucks, not in nasty 'I am going to throw you off way' just I am excited and I want to go. Where he needs the most work still is on the ground he has a nervous disposition and will need a patient owner who has time to gain his trust. He isn’t at all nasty and does have stable manners he just gets nervous. We clipped him this weekend and we do it in stages so it takes 2 days rather than a few hours. He will stand to be groomed for 20 minutes and then gets fidgety, he takes longer than you average horse to tack up, nothing at all nasty he just has trust issues. He loads fine in either a box or trailer but doesn't like travelling alone, we tend to load him last and then out first to try and keep his mood as calm as possible. He can't be left in a field by himself or left on the yard by himself. He is good for the farrier and has never been lame or had any health problems. Up to date with jabs.
