Irish Draught Hunter / Grey Irish Sport Horse Eventer

Just putting the feelers out for 2 beautiful irish mares I have. Full green books, Both were bought from Ireland wild by myself, both are rising 4 come jan. the dappled grey Draught is pure and stands at 16.2 to make 17hh+ she is backed walk trot canter in the school and on a hack, good to load, travel and with traffic, pops a fence (scopey) would make a fantastic hunter, 2 sisters in Ireland are huntsmans horses. Ard Grandpa lines. The irish sports horse is currently just over 16hh, to make 16.2 clover hill lines, lightly backed walk trot canter on a hack and turned away, good to load catch travel fine with traffic not as far on as the draught though, will make an eventer/hunter. They are both currently turned out to grow abit more over winter. The plan was to sell them next spring after more education however price will rise significantly, they are currently living out in winter woollies, but I would sell from field for this price as someone may get a bargain for what they are going to become! Meet Curly Whirley. 16.2hh 7yr old gelding pure bred Irish Sports Horse. Kind natured with a cheeky fussy attitude. He originally came from Ireland where he has hunted; he loves to jump and has been previously cross country schooled, proving confident and not fazed by anything. He also loves show jumping and will happily jump a confident course of 3ft+. This would make him an ideal hunter for the winter months and show jumping/riding club/eventer for the summer months. He is ridden in a snaffle at all times and is never strong or pulls. He is fantastic in open spaces, alone and with others, happily going first or last in company. He is still young and therefore green in some respects; he is good with small traffic and better with company on the roads. He needs a confident, competent rider who he can take reassurance from and will help him reach his full potential as he can nap when he feels insecure Good with the farrier, currently shod front feet only, however could go bare foot. Up to date with vaccinations & teeth. Lives in or out, with geldings and mares. No current health issues (ie sarcoids) Fantastic, genuine horse with lots of potential. Jumps gates and walls with ease and has never said no to anything with me. I've used him for stock work with cattle, sheep and ponies. Used to farm machinery and is great in traffic. For sale ‘Doofus’ 16.2 aprox irish sport horse. 8yrs Gelding Doofus has been my personal project for the last 5/6 months and is now fully tested and ready to go to nice new suitable home. 16.2hh Irish daft x cob type Hunter for sale. 6 years old. Has hunted in Ireland and hound exercised with Sinnington Hunt Hounds. Proving to be very mannerly on the field taking it all in his stride. We havent owned Mr Mee aka Blue very long as was sold to me by a dealer who has now blocked me. I have found Blue to be a very kind but very nervous on the ground with people, however he has lovely manners, not bargy or bolshy at all. Just wary, but he gets to know you are not going to hurt him, he is lovely. He has only done very very basic schooling, not in a field but in a school enviroinment as feels worried schooling in a large open field on his own. But happy to ride in open fields without any bother, just schooling. He would make a fantastic Maxi cob with someone who can put the time in to school correctly, he is very athletic for a big horse, bouncy and good hock action. Unfortuneately he is not for me as i wanted a get on and go type. You can get legged up or from ground, needs patience at a block to get on. Time and patience is what this boy needs. He hacks out happily on his own or company and is very good in traffic. Been hacked out on own with my 12yrs Daughter atm. Good with farrier, groom, traffic, havent clipped him so wouldnt know and takes a minute to load in trailer or wagon. Any other questions feel free to message me, this is an honest advert as i do not want him to go somewhere that does not have time or patience and work to put into him.
