Welcome to the sale of my 14ft Glastron Speedboat type 318i Red Spirit. As you can see from the pictures she is in need of refurbishment. The plywood floor needs replacing for starters. See picture. However the hull and deck are in good undamaged condition. If I had the time I would refit this boat myself. Sadly I don't. The style of this boat is the same as the speedboats used in the chase sequence of the James Bond movie "Live and Let Die" although I wouldn't recommend using the boat the way they did in the movie. Best to stick to the rules and use her sensibly. Buyer to collect from Cardigan, West Wales, This is a bare boat, NO trailer, so please realise it will be up to you to arrange collection. For sale plane craft stingray 14ft speedboat and trailer. Ideal project, boat has been striped so bare shell. Also including a 40hp suzuki outboard not sure if works, bought as a non runner. Also 2 front boat seats(brand new) included and a fuel tank. Have done some welding work on trailer and fitted new rollers. Trailer will need new bearings and mud guards fitting back on. This is a great little speedboat, made by glastron's, and is fully functional and useable just now. It's seats are needing some TLC and some other cosmetic work. But a weekends work will give you a great little boat. The engine works perfectly, has just had a brand new propeller fitted, and has only been in fresh water. The entire steering mechanism and cables where replaced last year, and it also comes with the trailer. I'm selling this for my brother, who will be sad to see it go, but has a baby on the way so having to prioritise! ***update on advert*** turns out the prop shaft has been bent slightly and will need straightened or replaced, engine is fine otherwise. And gearbox also fine. Owner of the yard where're it is stored(Balloch) has said a local engineer charges £80 to straighten, or an easier method also suggested by owner of boat yard is to replace gearbox completely with a second hand one that should be available for under 200 and far less work than taking out prop shaft to straighten.
