Talented 16h Irish Thoroughbred Mare 8 yrs.old in Whitby

pretty mare with great temperament. Has done pony club and camps/teams. Has been lightly competed in ODE, showjumping, show cross and is showing great potential to go further. Hunted last season and hacks out alone or in company, is excellent in heavy traffic and is always snaffle mouthed. Forward going with nice uphill paces.

Has mainly been a happy hacker over the years but has also done a little basic schooling. Can do leg yield, travers, renvers, turn on the forehand and rein back - responsive to half halts, weight and seat aids. Showing promise over fences, will happily pop in trot or canter, keeping a nice rhythm and without getting silly. Snaffle mouthed at all times. A very straightforward mare. Great for vet/dentist/osteo/farrier/worm etc. Hasn't travelled an awful lot with us, but we've been in both trailers and lorries without an issue. We have recently taken her to our yard, in order to refresh her schooling and bring her on a little more, but sadly we just don't have enough time to give her due to other horses and baby no.2 on the way. I have decided to offer my mare for sale. She has been loaned for the last 18 months but the loaner cannot keep her on. I do not have the time for her as I have a poorly horse that currently needs a lot of rehabilitation work. She is an honest mare with a very kind nature. She has previously been used in a riding school but personally I would not class her as a novice ride as she prefers a quiet sensitive rider. She has hacked in the past, but for the last 18 months has just been riding in the sand school. Her schooling is coming along nicely but canter transitions require more work. Ginge! Stunning year old TB mare! in Newport

Ginge for sale! A beautiful 7 year old 16.2hh thoroughbred mare. Passported and microchipped, eligible for ROR. Completely clean limbed and vice free apart from weaving at feeding times. Retired from racing sound and enjoyed some time off over winter. Recently brought back into work proving sane and sensible. Ginge is good to catch, tie up, pick up feet and for farrier, loads and travels in a lorry or trailer, good to brush all over. Ginge has only been hacking since coming back into work but in doing so she hacks alone and in company and has seen everything on the road and remained unphased, from cyclists up too giant arctic logging lorries and tractors with muck trailers, she'd hack on the motorway with a level head! Great on the lunge also and loose jumps 1 metre with ease! Ginge has been ridden in open spaces and popped some small jumps still remaining sensible and eager to please! Despite her being straight forward and easy I wouldn't recommend for novices as can be a typical thoroughbred and likes to jog on hacks and fidgets when asked to stand, but can hack her on the buckle knowing she's not going to take off or do anything stupid she just enjoys her job!
