Spike was backed professionally in January and since then has proved to be a very trainable boy with a good attitude towards his work. Hacks alone and in company, has been to polework and Trec clinics, proving to be quite bold about both activities. Good to load and travel (trailer/box), good with farrier he is currently barefoot. He hasn't jumped with a person yet due to my lack of desire to leave the ground but jumps nicely on the lunge and is sensible over poles. 6 year old 13hh Fell cross gelding - Companion/Project

I am offering for sale my 6 year old fell cross gelding. Bertie was bought as a companion 3 years ago for company for my injured horse who needed a quiet life. Over the 3 years with us he has been a companion for different horses. He will turn out with any horse or pony and is no trouble at all. He is good to do, lives out all year round although we do rug and hard feed him in winter. He is never sick or sorry, good to do in all ways but does prefer a sensitive person as he can be quite nervy. He will stay alone in field or stable and is not remotely bothered if another horse is taken away from him. We backed and broke Bertie 2 years ago. He is extremely sharp, requires an experienced rider. he was ridden away for around 3 months but due to time commitments i could not continue his education and he hasn't been ridden since. With 3 other ponies all in work we do not have the time to bring him back into work now. We have taken Bertie to a couple of in hand shows where he has always been in the ribbons! He will happily stand on the trailer all day, just enjoys being out. I am selling as a companion due to how sharp he can be ridden. I would not recommend him for a child, due to being nervy I am open to sensible offer because of the negative points above. This is charly he is a lovely pony good with kids no skin problems and never had laminitis I have had him since he was 6 months old. Good to do in every way. I have done a lot of work with him so he knows all the basic. He will even let u put a bridle on and a saddle as I have got him use to it. Very sad sell open to sensible offers.
