- 13hh - 10yo - Coloured Pony Dora is a very sweet and easy coloured cob mare. She is the perfect companion as she just loves the company of other horses. She is not at all your typical mare, very loving and gentle. She is exceptionally easy to handle and deal with. Dora is a very good doer, she doesn't require any hard feed, and is quite happy to grow her winter woolies without dropping weight. She is barefoot, has no history of laminitis and is such a poppet to do. We are unsure whether Dora has been ridden or driven in the past, but it is quite possible she has at some point. She would also make an ideal project for someone to back and produce to be a children's pony. I have no doubt she would take no time at all to back. 6 year old 13hh Fell cross gelding - Companion/Project

I am offering for sale my 6 year old fell cross gelding. Bertie was bought as a companion 3 years ago for company for my injured horse who needed a quiet life. Over the 3 years with us he has been a companion for different horses. He will turn out with any horse or pony and is no trouble at all. He is good to do, lives out all year round although we do rug and hard feed him in winter. He is never sick or sorry, good to do in all ways but does prefer a sensitive person as he can be quite nervy. He will stay alone in field or stable and is not remotely bothered if another horse is taken away from him. We backed and broke Bertie 2 years ago. He is extremely sharp, requires an experienced rider. he was ridden away for around 3 months but due to time commitments i could not continue his education and he hasn't been ridden since. With 3 other ponies all in work we do not have the time to bring him back into work now. We have taken Bertie to a couple of in hand shows where he has always been in the ribbons! He will happily stand on the trailer all day, just enjoys being out. I am selling as a companion due to how sharp he can be ridden. I would not recommend him for a child, due to being nervy I am open to sensible offer because of the negative points above. 13hh stunning show pony / project riding pony

An exceptional 13hh show pony for sale due to lack of interest from my daughter chatty is a cracking pony I had her broken early this year and my daughter has rode her also started off lead rein and was fab. She is a show pony so can be a little sharp but with the right competent rider she would really excel in the show ring. But for the last two months has not been ridden since so will be sold from the field. I do have videos of her being ridden. He will roll in dirt five minutes after you groom him and he will clamp his mouth shut when he sees his bridle. However, he will take care of your child when they are on his back, he will do as your child asks especially if they have polos in their pocket. He is good with the farrier, he doesn't complain about the dentist, he will even tolerate a vet with good grace. He doesn't like the taste of wormer but will suffer it in silence. He is easier to walk than our dogs. When he is hacking out alone he will behave himself but will insist on shouting out to all the horses he passes. Hes friendly like that. In a group he suddenly thinks hes a thoroughbred, not in behaviour but his little legs will carry him as fast as they can (which is pretty fast) to keep up. Actually I am sure hes passed some retired racehorses in his time. He likes to jump but he isn't very good at it, anything bigger than a baby bounce and he feels he should go through it. When we have taken him to local shows hes behaved impeccably and usually places in the cob classes. Everyone who meets him loves him. 13hh gypsy cob 6 years old, perfect for a novice or child’s pony, wonderful little pony up and going in all 3 paces even pops a little jump when asked. Totally bombproof not fazed by much, also a nice forward going pony. Companion pony/project pony 11h 8yo registered Dartmoor pony. We have owned Millie since she was 18months old. She is a brilliant companion will go out with anyone and lives off fresh air. She used to do alot of hacking but hadn't been ridden so about 5 years. She has just come back into work at a riding school but unfortuanlty she is too green and wizzy to be a school pony. I would say she needs either a gusty kid to hack and have some fun or be a companion, we also started driving training when she was younger and was brilliant on the long reins and isnt at all spooky I think she would make a cracking driving pony. 13.2h new forest gelding. Was bought as a child's pony which he is not. He needs a confident rider as he is a strong boy. He is bombproof in all traffic and has met pretty much everything in his time with us. He will not hack alone and would suit someone who wants to hack out with another horse. He develops a bond with other horses and is fine to hack out with his friends.  He can nap with horses he doesn't know and will spin and call therefore needs a confident rider to push him forwards.  His ideal home would be someone with a couple of other ponies or horses who he will live with and hack out with. His price reflects his quirks and is sold from the field due to having no hacking companion and will need bringing back to work slowly as he is in need of a diet and is unfit. Was backed as a 4 year old (will be 12yrs on 22 May) as I hoped my grandchildren may be interested but this never happened so now totally wasted as no rider and not needed as a companion anymore. Apollo - Companion/project pony

Apollo- Bryntwrog Brenin - 10 year old 11.2 section A gelding. Apollo was backed and broken at 3 and did the basics however then he was left to live out as a companion for a few years only occasionally doing basic ground work, lunging and some jumping on the lunge with no rider etc. The last year he has been moved onto a full livery yard and has started to be brought back into work and has done the basics, walking and trotting on and off the lunge and some pole work and small jumps on the lunge without a rider. However due to sadly having no time and no rider for him he is not getting the attention he deserves and is not having anything done with him. He needs a someone to be firm with him and spend some time working with him as this last few months since he has moved yards he has started nipping and tries pushing his boundaries with new people. I think this is as he is having no one on one time and is not getting proper work and attention. If someone spent the time with him he could be a great lead rein pony as he is not particularly phased by anything. Either that or he would make a great companion for someone as he has lived out previously for 6 years and is happy out in all weathers. Read more
