12hh Blue Roan, 14 yr old (unregistered) sweet Welsh A mare for sale. This golden girl is the most perfect little family pony! Currently used mainly for hacking, brilliant in traffic, not fazed by anything and is happy to lead or follow. She is also used for lessons and novices to ride, from small children to small adults. Works in a lovely outline on the flat in the ménage and in the paddock. She is snaffle mouthed, I wouldn't say she's a plod?! She will go forward happily but sensibly and safe! Canter work can be a bit lazy in the fact that she will do a few strides and go back to trot without leg on. This genuine mare will quite happily pop a small fence, either coloured poles or rustic, she is quiet into a fence and will need a kick. Perfect for beginners or novices. In general she is good in the stable and on the ground, although can be a bit fidgety tied up (never bushy). She is bare footed, up to date with vaccinations / wormers etc.. yo, Registed Welsh Sec A Mare Tillie is a lovely pony who is for sale through no fault of her own. I've had her for 18 months and she has been a perfect lead rein for my son- excellent out hacking & in the school. Not done much jumping but can pop a cross pole with ease. She has also been ridden by friends children off the lead rein and was perfect then too- never strong or silly. Safe in traffic- nothing phases her. We ride out regularly on an A road and she is fine both alone and in company. Our beloved pony Barney is sadly up for sale after 7 great years. All my children have ridden him from being toddlers and he has been their first pony so this is such a sad sale. He enjoys being worked and will whinny when he sees you bringing tack so it's unfair on him to be left without a job. I am advertising him as a lead rein pony as this is what he prefers in a schooling situation as he can be nappy without his leader in the arena and he much prefers having mum or dad to walk beside or even run in front. He will hack out perfectly off the lead and goes off your voice. He has been ridden around hopton x country off the lead and on the farnley ride and Escrick park. He will jump small jumps and has got a good jump but it's not something he enjoys. He is just ridden now and then at the moment but he is exactly the same ride how ever long he is left. Barney has been involved with all pony club activities including mounted games, mini camp, mini cross country, lessons and jumping with my daughter from being age 5. He has competed on the mini mounted games for 2 seasons on the lead and did wetherby weekend this year off the lead in the junior team and did great. Totally unfazed with a busy environment and does not get silly or excitable, he's very happy to stand on the line and just wait his turn and knows the equipment. When at shows he just stands patiently and nods off. He will ride and lead and is responsive to voice commands which is great for teaching little ones to canter on the lead. A shout of whoa quickly brings him back to walk! We've stayed away at shows and he is happy to be corralled in an pen and will not stress if left on his own, he just enjoys being out and having a job to do. He can be a bit grumpy to handle and will pull the odd face. He will live out with a shelter or come in at night and he is happy with both. He is very clean in the stable and will poo in a bucket at the back! He can be left for weeks and then ridden and he is exactly the same, just steady away. this is my sweet little blue, his is older than most but please dont let that put you off as this little fella does not act it at all, he 23 years young, he does how ever have a little arthritis in his legs which is ok as long as he isnt left out over the winter, a little devils claw does the trick if he gets a little stiff, other wise a happy go lucky pony will come with rugs, he loads good with farrier in and out of stable, he is free to a 5* home which will be vetted, all i ask is a donation for the welsh horse and pony rehoming charity as he was a rescue him self, he is passported but not chipped, ive put him as a mountain and moreland but passport says he is an spot, not sure where they got that from but that is what it says, this is hard for me but i just can not keep him any more due to ill health, so if you could offer by boy a forever home please contact me please no time wasters

My little girls lead her and pick out her little feet. She loads beautifully onto our trailer every time.
